Who is Paula and what is her hope, you may ask?
Paula is a Mother of 4 grown children, Hunny to 9 grandchildren and Wife of 39 years. She worked with Laverne and Sheryl (Director & Assistant Director at Paula's Hope) at a Center supporting/counseling women. Paula’s Hope is in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was always right beside her to help her through each trial she faced. Paula has been a blessing to many women, spending much time investing in relationships, counseling and praying for those she mentored.
Paula was admired by many for her rock solid, unshakeable Faith. She would always give full credit to the Lord for his grace and strength and was a true prayer warrior. She was full of compassion and love for those who were hurting. Like so many, Paula struggled with depression. She herself often sought counseling and found it to be very helpful. She knew God would somehow use her personal struggles to help others.
2 Cor. 1:4
“He comforts us in all our troubles, so we may comfort others with the same comfort God has given us”.
She was a Northwest Arkansas resident for 30 years and was always very involved in her community. Paula came to know the Lord as a teenager. Her Faith carried her thru the ups and downs of Life. She would say when she felt like everyone else lets her down, she had peace that God says He would never leave her.
She loved the Lord and knew the Lord well, always studying the Bible and enjoyed writing scripture after scripture on notecards.
Two of Paula's favorite scriptures
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning! I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him!” Lamentations 3:22-24
Paula is now in Heaven with Jesus and is greatly missed. She left this world too soon, and we long for the day we will reunite with her and Jesus. But even though she is no longer here on earth with us, she continues to be used by God and is a blessing to others in so many ways, leaving a true legacy of Faith.
Through Paula’s Hope we pray you feel special, loved and heard. This is a safe place to find healing. And as Paula had recently learned and said, we must “Embrace the process of healing”. We hope you can do just that.
